Helping our children become all that God wants them to be.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thess 5:11

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Eph 4:29

If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11

Angel Food Ministry offers Allergen Free Box

If you are looking for a way to reduce your food budget while dealing with the higher cost of allergy free food, Angel Food Ministies is now offering an allergen free box. For more information, you can read the press release HERE. This special box of food is designed to accommodate those with the eight most common food allergies: peanuts, soy, dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish, gluten, and tree nuts. I have yet to determine whether it is also free of artificial additives. I have contacted the company that makes the products and hope to get that information soon.

Support Group Meeting - Jan. 20, 2009

Our first support group meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 7:00 pm. We will meet in room 114 at First Baptist St. Charles. Please enter the church through door number 6, which is next to the choir room. We are down the hall from the choir room on the right.

Please invite anyone you know who may be in need of support. Anyone dealing with spectrum issues, ADD/ADHD, food allergies, learning disablilities, asthma, diabetes, celiac, etc. I would also encourage Sunday School teachers and children's leaders who are working with your children to come and learn about what kinds of issues we deal with and how they can be a support to our children as well.

Please come with ideas about what YOU would like to see this support group become. How can this support group help you and what kind of things would you like to see us do?

The resource library will be available so that you may check out items at the meeting.

There will also be a "show and tell" of sorts. I will be bringing some resources that I use, such as cookbooks and shopping guides for our various dietary intervention so that others can look over them. If you have anything that you think might be of interest for others to look at, please bring it along. We won't make you stand up and talk about it, but just have it so that others can look over it.

Refreshments will be served.

Our meeting day may not stay the same. This is just an organizational meeting. If it turns out that this is not a good night, we will try to work things out. I did need to get this meeting on the calendar so that we could get in the Link, but I am open for future meetings to move around.

I look forward to seeing you all there!
